This past May saw us test changes to the KV Had they proven agreeable, they would have been applied to other preferential tanks. As the feedback and testing showed, the reason you take these tanks onto the battlefield or bring them into your Garage in the first place is their preferential status and unique characteristics. In response to your comments, we went back to the drawing board to work on another round of adjustments. Here’s a look at where the current setup is falling short and how the upcoming changes address those areas. Tanks with preferential status are likely to get matched into two- or one-tier battles, where their status combined with combat parameters does more harm than good. Improve the experience for preferential tanks while keeping the preferential matchmaking parameter and their unique characteristics intact. All-around vehicle rebalances on a tank-by-tank basis combined with matchmaker rule revision. Matchmaker rules revision is designed to better the experience for them, too.

The increased penetration and rate of fire will allow this TD to perform its main role: At the same time, complex changes to mobility will allow for escaping enemy fire and fighting for survival in close-range combat. All-around vehicle rebalances on a tank-by-tank basis to improve their statistics combined with matchmaker rule revision. As a side note, regular Tier VIII vehicles face a similar issue with matchmaking, amplified by the fact that they also compete against Tier X tanks. The underlying problem for these vehicles is too many battles versus Tier X. The matchmaker rules revision is designed to better the experience for them, too. All of this was done on the Supertest and that we believe we have gotten the desired result.
Now, these special Premium vehicles are much closer to non-preferential matchmaking ones, in terms of combat effectiveness.
Pros and Cons Pros: On the other hand view range and camouflage value received a buff. Accuracy on move and dispersion during turret rotation was significantly improved resulting improved fire control, even if on paper it remains the same. Terrain resistance was buffed and tank can reach around 30kph on flat ground, slightly surpassing the IS
In WOT, most premium tanks are better than a stock tank in the same tier but weaker than a completely upgraded tank in the same tier, therefore some of them get preferred match making (+/- 1 instead of +/- 2) because such tanks will be useless in a +2 game, such as KV-5 or T26E4.

The special offer this weekend is designed to celebrate this — and it is a true celebration. This is a true blockbuster offer, in many respects grander than even the 2nd Anniversary Special. The offer looks pretty much identical to that being offered on the NA server. Like most EU specials this one runs from Saturday morning to Tuesday morning.

That means that the shell with penetration of mm will have no chance to deal any damage to our enemy. This can be used during the fight, which will be presented later in this guide. PzKpfw VI Tiger armor thickness of mm , placed at an angle to our tank, will be protected against our gun with penetration of mm. As if that were not enough, some tanks have several layers of armor so called spaced armor. Hitting this kind of point may give us misleading information about opponent’s vehicle state – gunner will confirm the penetration, but the enemy tank will not get any damage.
Our shell will just penetrate weaker external armor but will rebound on the inner, significantly stronger one. So if we’re fighting with the opponent equipped with such armor, we have two options: Location of layered armor on various tanks will be discussed later in this guide. Front of the T26E4 Super Pershing tank.

But in reality once these players learn these weak spots they will much rather face one than the much tougher IS-3, T32, and Tiger II. For most new players shooting here is highly likely at first until they learn that it has some very easy weak spot to hit. The lower hull of the Lowe is very weak, rather large, and also not angled.
This is the main weak spot and when facing like this frontally any tank facing a Lowe under normal matchmaking can penetrate this location aside from some scouts. Bounces do occur the closer you get to the Lowe for lower penetrating guns as the angle becomes unfavorable. The frontal armor of the turret is mm thick which if presented without an angle is very easy to go through for tanks facing the Lowe normally.

This is a tier 7 American light tank which is only the second autoloader premium tank to come available on World of Tanks Console. The Lycan T71 is available for purchase through a variety of options or can be earned through a series of operations during the month of October It has an excellent top speed of As an active spotter, the Lycan T71 performs very well, with a m base view range and incredible top speed, it is one of the best for its tier.
The Lycan T71 also has decent accuracy on the move to and can be enhanced by equipment. However, it is important to remember to watch how many shells are in your clip. If you make 2 or 3 snapshots you leave yourself exposed to an enemy charge where the Lycan T71 will be at a disadvantage with it’s 20 second reload. The clips has a reload time of 20 seconds which does not keep the Lycan T71 out of the fight for long and gives it an damage per minute DPM potential.

So I calculated the effective armor protection of many WoT tanks, assuming all shots are straight towards the frontal aspect of the tank no sideways angling. I mostly used historical armor values for my calculations, except for where I know WoT differs, like with the Tiger II having mm thick lower glacis in WoT, instead of the historical mm. I only calculated for frontal armor, as this is most important facing on every tank.
Side and rear armor would take a bit more work, and only a handful of tanks in WoT have decent side armor anyway. IS-4; better information about the driver viewport and plate; angles and thickness.

I’ve been improving my gameplay in the sections that I have been bad and I in most matches can pull my weight. I wanted to write this post just for this matter. As World of Tanks is a “Free-to-Play” game it has a massive playerbase, which in my opinion is a good thing. It wouldn’t be fun if there’d be only a handful of good players and a handful of bad players trying to get good. I feel that I learn something new in almost every match and that affects how I play. I use XVM to see what kind-of players are in my and in the enemy team.
When I see this, I know who I maybe can trust and observe them to see what they’re doing. Lets have fun and focus on something that I hate about this game. Yes, I’m a noob but I have some knowledge to what I’m doing. I try my hardest to learn and have the maximal affect in the game. I want to do damage while not taking any. It’s not going to help anyone when you’re screaming “noob” and “noob team” or “it’s in this location camping
